The official website of Banished From the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside announced that the series is getting a season 2 on Monday. Comments and illustrations were also released by some of the staff and cast to commemorate the announcement of the sequel. A release date is yet to be decided.
The first season was animated by studios Flad and Wolfsbane and had 13 episodes. It premiered in October 2021. Makoto Hoshino directed the anime, which is based on the light novel series written by Zappon and illustrated by Yasumo. Kadokawa Shoten is serializing it since June 2018, and it currently has 10 volumes in circulation. A manga adaptation illustrated by Masahiro Ikeno with 9 volumes is also ongoing.
