Bilibili To Feature Link Click and More Chinese Animation at Anime Expo 2023

Bilibili announced that it will be participating in Anime Expo 2023 in Los Angeles from July 1-4, 2023. Their booth will be stationed in the South Hall Lobby SF4 and will serve as a gateway to the vibrant world of Chinese animation and more. In addition, Bilibili will be hosting a special screening event at the JW Marriott on July 2 at 19:00 PST, where the long-awaited second season of the popular Chinese anime series, Link Click, will make its debut outside of China.

Li Haolin, the director of Link Click, is a special guest for this event at Anime Expo 2023. He expressed his excitement for the upcoming second season and said, “Link Click has always been a passion project close to my heart. It explores themes of friendship, courage, and the unbreakable bonds we form. I am thrilled to present the second season at Anime Expo 2023 and to share this journey with fans worldwide. We’re delighted to continue supporting Chinese anime and celebrating its unique creativity and storytelling.”

Although its release date is officially July 14, 2023, the anime’s second season has already had advanced screenings in China and Singapore, as well as the event that is set to happen in Los Angeles this weekend. Bilibili’s participation in Anime Expo 2023 will be an exciting experience for anime fans as it aims to “provide a glimpse into the immense potential of Chinese animation and the strong collaboration between Bilibili and the global anime industry.”

The first season of Link Click (2021) received widespread acclaim and recognition among both Chinese and international audiences. In China alone, the show amassed over 300 million views on Bilibili. In 2022, Crunchyroll globally launched the English dubbed versions, followed by the Japanese and Korean dubbed versions on local TV channels and online animation platforms. The first season of the anime series had 11 episodes and was animated by Studio LAN. The upcoming second season is set to explore the main storyline in more depth with the introduction of brand-new characters. A new visual and trailer were also recently released.

Bilibili describes the plot of Link Click as:
In a modern metropolis, there is a small store called “Time Photo Studio.” Although only a few customers come to visit, it’s actually run by Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, two men with special powers. They cooperate and use their superpowers to enter the photos in order to fulfill the client’s request. However, things always get out of their control…”
