Black Screen Records announced its latest signing, the Japanese singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist VK Blanka (also known as Vickeblanka or Vicke Blanka), as well as the vinyl release of his latest studio album Knightclub (stylized as 「Knightclub」) ahead of his North America tour. VK Blanka kicks off his largest tour to date this coming May with 6 concerts in North America followed by 7 shows in Japan later this summer.
Ahead of the North America tour, Black Screen Records will release VK Blanka’s 「Knightclub」 on vinyl. Fans who’ve purchased tickets for the tour can pre-order (link here) a tour exclusive version of the vinyl and pick up the record at the concert venue.
The 「Knightclub」 LP is pressed on “Universe Sparkle” vinyl, includes a lyrics sheet and comes with an exclusive bonus track “Black Catcher – Piano Version”. The vinyl is limited and will only be available during the North America run in May.
VK Blanka first rose to prominence with “Masshiro” from his album wizard in 2018 as a featured song in a TV series, eventually reaching #2 on the iTunes Japan Top Album Chart. “Masshiro” hit #1 in the USEN Request: J-POP HOT30, YouTube MV Trending videos, and LINE MUSIC real-time ranking. Anime fans will recognize VK Blanka for his songs that appear as openings and endings for anime, including “Lucky Ending” which served as the first ending of Fruits Basket and “Black Catcher” and “Black Rover” which were opening theme tracks for Black Clover.
