Blue Lock anime revealed a new trailer ahead of the October 8 premiere. The anime also revealed that it will run in two consecutive cours for a total of 24 episodes. Studio 8bit is animating the adaptation of the sports manga by Muneyuki Kaneshiro.
The main cast includes Soma Saito (Hyoma Chigiri), Kazuki Ura (Yoichi Isagi), Yuki Ono (Rensuke Kunigami) and Tasuku Kaito (Meguru Bachira). Tetsuaki Watanabe is directing. Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya are in charge of character designs. Taku Kishimoto is doing series composition. Jun Maruyama is composing the music, while Taku Kishimoto is signing off on the script. The theme songs include:
- Opening: “Chaos ga Kiwamaru” Unison Square Garden
- Ending: “Winner” by Shugo Nakamura
The anime is based on a manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura. Kodansha licensed the manga and describes the plot as:
