BLUE LOCK – EPISODE Nagi anime movie has revealed a new character visual featuring the main duo, Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage. Studio 8bit is in charge of the animation, and the anime movie is set to premiere in Japan on April 19, 2024. Check out the new visual:

The original manga is written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura, and Kodansha publishes it. They describe the story:
After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win! The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match … To do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team … and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?
Studio 8bit previously also animated the first TV anime season that premiered in October last year and ran for 24 episodes. In addition to the Nagi movie, a 2nd TV anime season was also announced. Besides Yuichi Nakamura as the insane Shido Ryusei, new cast members for the sequel include:
- Shin Furukawa as Karasu Tabito
- Kengo Kawanishi as Kageya Otoyo
- Takuya Eguchi as Yu Yukimiya Kenyu
- Hiro Shimono as Julian Loki
- Shinichiro Kamio as Leonardo Luna
