AnimeJapan has announced a Bocchi the Rock x Odekake Kozame collab. The collaboration consists of crossover merchandise, which will include badges, face towels, t-shirts, tote bags, and hair clips. The collaboration announcement was made via AnimeJapan’s X (Twitter) account.
The announcement features a poster with the lead protagonists of the participating franchises (Hitori Gotoh and Baby Shark). The characters were portrayed in Bocchi the Rock’s iconic attention-seeking monster outfit.
The cost of the Bocchi the Rock x Odekake Kozame collab items are:
- Heart-Shaped Badges — ¥1100 (~$7.50)
- Face Towel — ¥2900 (~$19.60)
- T-shirt — ¥3800 (~$25.70)
- Tote Bag — ¥2500 (~$16.90)
- Hair Clips — ¥1650 (~$11.20)

Studio ENGI is animating the upcoming movie Eiga Odekake Kozame Tokai no Otomodachi, which will premiere this summer. It revealed a new key visual and voice cast as well.

Bocchi the Rock x Odekake Kozame Deets!
Bocchi the Rock is an ongoing four-panel manga written and illustrated by Aki Hamazi. Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max has serialized the manga since December 2017. As of 2025, the manga boasts seven tankōbon volumes. Yen Press publishes the English version of the manga. Cloverworks animated the 12-episode TV anime in the fall of 2022.
The story follows Hitori “Bocchi” Gotoh, a girl with crippling social anxiety and stronger future bum energy. Bocchi, a guitar virtuoso, brings her guitar to school one day, hoping it will bait her classmates into conversing with her. Unfortunately for her, because of it, she is unexpectedly pulled in as a last-minute session musician.
While their first performance was praised as much as the ending to Darling in the Franxx, realizing it might be her only chance to make friends, Bocchi sticks with her newfound bandmates. And now we have a Bocchi the Rock x Odekake Kozame collab!
Odekake Kozame is an ongoing manga series written and illustrated by Penguin Box. The series started as web manga on the author’s Twitter back in 2021. Kadokawa, Chukei Publishing, and Aokishi (Enterbrain) serialized the manga in 2022. Odekake Kozame currently boasts 5 tankōbon volumes and a 60-episode ONA series by Studio ENGI. The slice-of-life story follows Baby Shark (CV KANA HANAZAWA) as she explores the town of Yauo.

AnimeJapan is one of the largest anime conventions in Japan. The annual convention takes place at the Tokyo Big Sight Exhibition Center. It has run almost continuously since 2014, with a cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19. Due to pandemic concerns, they hosted the 2021 iteration online. This year’s edition willl run from March 22 to March 23.
