“I found myself immediately resonating with the narrative as it touches on themes of spirituality, the battle against your inner demons, and so many aspects of the AAPI experience. It being such a personal story, Shannon wanted to really retain creative control and ownership. At Shibuya, our mission is to help creators do just that and so I knew this was something we had to be a part of.”

Statement from Emily Yang, founder of Shibuya

Bruce Lee is considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary martial arts history. He is known for his roles in five feature-length Hong Kong martial arts films in the early 1970s: The Big Boss (1971), Fist of Fury (1972), The Way of the Dragon (1972), Enter the Dragon (1973) and The Game of Death (1978). Despite his death in 1973, Lee became a staple of several film, television, comics, animation, and video game titles. He also inspired combat sports, including judo, karate, mixed martial arts, and boxing in recent years.
