Now-airing Chainsaw Man anime received two collaborative original effects with Makima and the Fox Devil on video-sharing platform TikTok to commemorate the opening of the anime’s official TikTok account (@chainsawman_pr). The account posts content from the anime, including the opening and ending videos, previews, and clips. The account also posted on Tuesday Power’s voice actress Ai Fairouz doing “Power Dance” with “Tablet” performed by TOOBOE, which was the ending theme song for the fourth episode.
The two collaborative original effects are Makima’s eyes, and the Fox Devil Aki Hayakawa summoned in the fourth episode. The Makima effect will give you the eyes of the female character, while the Fox Devil effect will let you summon the devil with your hand gesture in the same way that the male devil hunter made a fox-head-shaped circle in the latest episode. Tomori Kusunoki, who recently announced her retirement from the roles of Setsuna Yuki and Nana Nakagawa in Love Live! franchise due to health issues, is voicing the protagonist Denji’s boss Makima, and Shogo Sakata is playing the role of Aki Hayakawa in the anime adaptation.
Animation studio MAPPA is animating the Chainsaw Man anime based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga of the same name serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to January 2021 with a total of 11 volumes. The series’ second part is being published on Shueisha’s online manga service Shonen Jump +. The series surpassed 16 million circulating copies with the 12th volume’s release on October 4. The anime adaptation was chosen as Anime Corner’s most anticipated Anime of Fall 2022 by fans.
