The September issue of the SWITCH magazine has revealed a special Chainsaw Man illustration by MAPPA, ahead of the franchise’s anime adaptation. The issue is priced at 990 Japanese yen ($7 USD), and it will be released in Japan on September 20. You can check out the Chainsaw Man illustration below:

Tatsuki Fujimoto started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and it finished part 1 in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2, which is going to focus on Denji’s school life, began on July 12 this year, and has released 5 chapters so far. Viz Media licensed the manga in English. The TV anime adaptation by MAPPA will premiere this October. Crunchyroll will be streaming it, and they describe the story:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
