Chainsaw Man is already insanely hyped, and our fans further confirmed it by voting the anime as the most anticipated show of Fall 2022. It got 10.92% of votes, with BLEACH: Thousand Year Blood War closely behind it with 10.54%. Spy x Family Part 2 ranked third with 5.68% of the votes. The anime recently revealed a new trailer, which you can watch below:
It revealed more voice actors for the Chainsaw Man anime, which now consists of:
- Kikunosuke Toya as Denji
- Tomori Kusunoki as Makima
- Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa
- Fairouz Ai as Power
- Tsuda Kenjiro as Kishibe
- Shiori Izawa as Pochita
- Karin Takahashi as Kobeni Higashiyama
- Taku Yashiro as Hirokazu Arai
- Mariya Ise as Himeno
Studio MAPPA producing the Chainsaw Man anime, with Ryu Nakayama as the director. Hiroshi Seko is serving as the scriptwriter, with Kazutaka Sugiyama in charge of character designs and Kiyotaka Oshiyama credited for creature designs. Kensuke Ushio is handling the music.
Tatsuki Fujimoto first started the Chainsaw Man manga in 2018, and part 1 ended in 2020 with a total of 97 chapters and 11 volumes. Part 2, which is focusing on Denji’s school life, began on July 12 this year, and has released 8 chapters so far. Viz Media licensed the manga in English, while the TV anime adaptation by MAPPA will premiere on October 11. Crunchyroll will stream it, and they describe the story:
Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.
One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as “Chainsaw Man”–a man with a devil’s heart.
