Clevatess Anime Premieres in July, Reveals an Episode Visual and a Short Story

Clevatess anime has revealed a new episode visual, along with a short story and a July 2025 release date. The anime was announced in July with a teaser visual and trailer, and it is adapting the manga by Yuji Iwahara, who is also known as the creator of King of Thorn and Dimension W. Studio Lay-duce is animating. Iwahara wrote a short story for the new visual:

“It’s a healthy baby boy, Your Highness.”
“Ah, my precious little one… I will protect you, no matter what.”

“His Majesty is overjoyed by the birth of his heir and grandson.”

“As a prince of Hyden, he cannot escape the fate of the hero’s legend and the furnace’s destiny… I must find a way before the naming ceremony…”

“Pardon? Did you say something?”
“No, nothing at all.”

Clevatess – First Episode Visual Featuring Short Story by Yuji Iwahara

The full title of the work is Clevatess: Maju no O to Akago to Shikabane no Yusha (Clevatess: The King of Devil Beasts, The Baby and the Brave of Undead). The main voice cast was recently joined by Saya Aizawa and includes:

  • Yuichi Nakamura as Clevatess
  • Haruka Shiraishi as Alicia
  • Mutsumi Tamura as Clen
  • Saya Aizawa as Luna

The main staff members for the Clevatess anime include Kiyotaka Taguchi as the director, Keigo Koyanagi in charge of the series composition, Soichiro Sako as the character designer and Nobuaki Nobusawa as the music composer.

The fantasy story begins with Alicia and 12 other chosen heroes failing to defeat the Demon Lord, Clevatess. This failure brings about a crisis that endangers many lives, and the story unfolds when Klevates is entrusted with a baby after attacking the capital city.
