Code Geass: Z of the Recapture revealed a new character trailer focusing on Sakuya and her actions up until the end of Act 2. The second installment of the movie’s theatrical releases premiered in Japan on June 7.
Code Geass: Z of the Recapture will release Act 3 on July 5, while the final Act 4 is set to premiere on August 12. An episodic version will also begin streaming on Disney on June 21.
The movie features an original story from Ichiro Okouchi and Goro Taniguchi. Yoshimitsu Ohashi is the directing at SUNRISE, with Noboru Kimura in charge of the series composition. Takahiro Kimura and Hidekazu Shimamura are the character designers, while CLAMP is credited for the original character designs.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion is an original anime series by studio SUNRISE. Goro Taniguchi directed it, with Ichiro Okouchi writing the script. CLAMP was in charge of the original character designs. The first season aired from October 2006 to July 2007, while the sequel titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 aired from April 2008 to September 2008. They had 25 episodes each.
The franchise has a multitude of OVA side stories, manga and light novel adaptations, as well as several movies. A recap movie trilogy released between 2017 and 2018, but it was set in an alternate universe and changed some things from the TV anime. The movies were followed by an original sequel movie titled Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection in 2019.
