Crunchyroll revealed a new clip of the Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie, which is showing in North American cinemas as of today. A part of this clip was released in Japan earlier this year but this time it comes with English subtitles. Studio MADHOUSE is animating the movie that premiered in Japan on September 13.

Naoyuki Ito is directing the movie at studio MADHOUSE, with Satoshi Tasaki as character designer and chief animation director. Yukie Sugawara is the scriptwriter. Shuji Katayama is composing the music. Overlord: The Sacred Kingdom movie will see the return of OxT with a new theme song “WHEELER-DEALER.”

The third movie in the Overlord franchise adapts Volumes 12-13 of the light novel. The arc was not included in the fourth season but events from it should have taken place around the 8th episode. The first two movies are recaps of the first and second seasons of the anime. They are titled The Undead King and The Dark Hero. Both came out in 2017.
