Creators of the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG (TTRPG) R. Talsorian Games revealed that the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime series will get a new story set after the anime via the upcoming Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit. R. Talsorian adds in their preview of The Jacket “A Peek Inside the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit“:
Now so it’s said, you do not play as any characters from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime themselves. This whole adventure takes place after the ending of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners (you already know what that means if you’ve seen it) and before the events of Cyberpunk 2077. I want to be sure to let you all know this; you’ll be getting to know some new faces here…we did promise some old ones though now didn’t we?” These old faces include the team’s getaway driver, Falco.

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit retails for $35 and can be bought in both physical and digital formats via the R. Talsorian Games store and their partners at DriveThruRPG. It’s officially teased:
Created in conjunction with CD Projekt Red, the box set, which functions both as a standalone entry into Cyberpunk RED and also a taste of the Cyberpunk 2070 era, brings you straight into the aftermath of the Cyberpunk Edgerunners finale!
You will find yourselves thrown into the deep end of Night City, dealing with faces both new and old from Cyberpunk Edgerunners & Cyberpunk 2077.

Also included is additional lore created by Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith, a rule book, and art by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime director Hiroyuki Imaishi, which readers can check out below.

For anime fans, this is likely the closest Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will come to getting a sequel. Studio Trigger generally doesn’t do sequels, which co-founder Hiroyuki Imaishi reiterated in a 2023 interview with Anime Corner.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners streams on Netflix, and is officially described:
In a dystopia riddled with corruption and cybernetic implants, a talented but reckless street kid strives to become a mercenary outlaw — an edgerunner.
