An anime adaptation has been announced for the romcom light novel series Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) (Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Hold Up? (No, It Can’t!!)). The announcement came with the release of the light novel’s 5th volume, and a special illustration was released for the anime news:

Nana Nanana writes the original Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) light novel with illustrations by Parum. It has been published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label since 2021, and has a total of 5 published volumes. There is also a manga adaptation by Kamelie. The story is described:
Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) is a coming-of-age love comedy about two high school students, the cheerful girl Himari Inuzuka, and the flower-loving boy Yu Natsume, who pledged eternal friendship in junior high school. The two had been best friends since junior high, but their destiny is thrown out of whack when Yu reunites with his first love from the past.
