Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Season 5 by J.C.Staff, titled, The Goddess of Fertility Arc (DanMachi Season 5) has set a release window of Fall 2024 as announced by the series’ official X account. The original light novel has also passed 17 million copies in circulation. Check out the previously released visual below:
DanMachi‘s Fall 2024 release window was revealed on March 9, 2024. The new information joins other announcements for publisher SB Creative including new information for I’ve Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level. The news was supposed to be revealed at GA FES 2024, hosted by Kaede Hondo, and Sayaka Sembongi, whom Anime Corner had the luxury of interviewing about her work as Delicious in Dungeon’s Marcille. However, the event was postponed to a later date.
The news follows the recent DanMachi: Arrow of the Orion film special epilogue released for the DanChro game and the DanMachi Christmas visual posted by author Fujino Omori. As the anime reaches a major turning point in the long-running light novel series, it’s worth noting that DanMachi‘s ending has long been planned, as revealed in an interview with Omori last year.
DanMachi Season 5 will be directed by Hideki Tachibana. The series continues Omori’s light novel series of the same name, published by SB Creative since 2013. The release of the fifth season will be preceded by another Omori series in Wistoria: Wand and Sword, which premieres in July 2024.
DanMachi streams on Crunchyroll, which describes it:
Based off of a light novel of the same name written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, Is It Wrong to Try and Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is set in the world of Orario, where adventurers band together and look for treasures in an underground labyrinth known as Dungeon. However, for Bell Cranel, fame and riches are secondary to what he wants to find the most: girls. He soon finds out though, that anything can happen in Dungeon, and winds up being the damsel in distress instead!
