Dark Gathering Episode 4 Preview Released

Episode 4 preview of the Dark Gathering anime has been released. The fourth episode airs on July 30 at 25:05 (JST). Studio OLM is animating the series under the direction of Hiroshi Ikehata.

After deciding to trust Yayoi again in episode 3, Keitaro Gentoga is now thinking about how he can lift his curse as well as his friend who was affected by it, which turns out to be Eiko Hozuki herself. Yayoi Hozuki goes on to say that in order to lift the curse, the spirit that inflicted it must be killed. But the question remains: is Keitaro willing to delve back into the occult world or i she going to leave it?

Shigeru Murakoshi is in charge of the series composition of Dark Gathering, while Shinya Segawa is the character designer. KOHTA YAMAMOTO, Shun Narita, Yusuke Ceo (Starving Trancer / Xceon) will work on the music. The opening theme song is “Yuyo” by luz while the ending theme is “Haiiro” by Kana Hanazawa, who voices Eiko Hozuki in the series. The cast for the anime includes:

  • Nobunaga Shimazaki as Keitarоo Gentоoga
  • Yu Sasahara as Yayoi Hоzuki
  • Kana Hanazawa as Eiko Hozuki
  • Rina Kawaguchi as Ai Kamiyo

HIDIVE is streaming the anime, describing the plot as:
After a devastating encounter with a restless spirit, ghost-fearing psychic Keitaro Gentoga became a shut-in to avoid additional spectral catastrophes. But no man is a haunted island, and Keitaro eventually reintegrates with society by getting a part-time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi Houzuki. Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though. She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance, and she’s gravely determined to drag Keitaro into her terrifying world of grotesque supernatural phenomenon.

The anime is based on a manga series by Kondo Kenichi. It has been serialized by Shueisha’s Jump SQ manga magazine since March 2019.
