Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo anime unveiled a new visual and trailer on Friday along with an October 1 premiere date and some new members of the voice cast. The new cast members are Yo Taichi, Akira Sekine, Takayuki Kondo, and Daisuke Ono. The opening theme song “Sugar Doughnuts” of the series performed by Nana Mizuki can be heard in the latest trailer.
Studio A-Real is animating, with Takahiro Masahiro as director. Gyro Knuckle is writing the script, myu composing the music, and Miwa Yoshida designing the characters. Voice actress Aoi Koga stars in the show as Alyssa with Nana Mizuki voicing Viola. The rest of the previously announced cast includes Takiya Hashi as Phoenix, Romi Park as Lira, and Kana Hanazawa as the narrator. The anime revealed its first trailer in May this year. The Dekoboko Majo no Oyako Jijo manga is written and illustrated by Piroya, and it started off as a one-shot on Flex Comix’s Comic Meteor website in July 2018. It has been serialized on the same website since July 2019. The story follows the adventure of a witch named Alyssa, who happens to find a human baby in a forest one day. Despite being confused, she decides to keep the baby and name her Viola. Sixteen years pass and Viola grows into a fine young woman who adores Alyssa as her own mother, even though they are not related by blood.
