Fans waiting for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle‘s streaming release date will have to look to 2026 at the earliest, as Mitchel Berger, Crunchyroll’s Executive Vice President of Commerce, confirms in an interview that the film will not stream this year. He tells Popverse:
“Go see [Demon Slayer Infinity Castle] in the theater because the theater is the only place you’re going to be able to see this film in 2025. If you want to see it, go see it in the theater because that’s the only place it’s going to be available.”

The record-breaking film has the biggest opening weekend for an anime film in history, surpassing Pokémon: The First Movie, even when adjusted for currency inflation. The Numbers reports that Infinity Castle has grossed $87 million in the U.S. so far, and $474 million globally, very close to Mugen Train‘s $506 million box office gross.

Series director Haruo Sotozaki directs the film at ufotable. It marks the first of a trilogy and is described:
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle.
And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the Demons ignites.
