The Etotama anime is marking its 10th anniversary in April 2025, and a special website has been launched with a new anniversary visual to commemorate the milestone.
Rie Murakawa, Nyya-tan’s voice actress, commented on the anniversary:
2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Etotama!
Congratulations~~~~!!! 🎉
Since Etotama has always been full of energy, it almost feels like it’s already gone through ten 10th anniversaries by now! I sometimes get that illusion, but that’s just how lively it is!
I’m truly happy that we can celebrate this milestone together. Thank you so much!

Etotama is an original anime produced by Encourage Films and Shirogumi, which aired from April 9 to June 25, 2015. A 30-minute ONA episode, titled Etotama: Nyan-Kyaku Banrai, premiered on May 25, 2021. The anime was directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki, with series composition by Deko Akao and character designs by Satoshi Koike and Asami Takahashi. The voice cast included:

- Hiro Shimono as Takeru Amato
- Mai Fuchigami as Mei-tan
- Sayaka Ohara as Chuu-tan
- Hitomi Nabatame as Shaa-tan

- Mikoi Sasaki as Piyo-tan
- Maaya Uchida as Dora-tan
The anime also received a manga adaptation serialized in ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Daioh shonen magazine, spanning three volumes from 2013 to 2016. C

Since ancient times, Japan has upheld the tradition of the 12 Zodiac signs. Eto-musumes (Zodiac girls), who have the appearance and behavior of the animals of the Zodiac, are pure hearted messengers who act as a bridge between humans and the gods. Every 60 years, the “ETM 12” tournament takes place in Tokyo’s Akihabara district, where aspiring girls from all over Japan gather for the chance to become the next zodiac sign.
