The adaptation of Ryogo Narita’s light novel Fate/Strange Fake has been announced as a TV special, set to air on December 31. The special will air both in the subbed and Engish dubbed versions. A-1 Pictures is animating the OVA and a teaser PV is out:
The cast includes:
- Kana Hanazawa / Anjali Kunapaneni as Ayaka Sayjou
- Yuki Ono/Ben Balmaceda as Saber
- Tomokazu Seki / David Vincent as Archer
- Yu Kobayashi/Marin Miller as Lancer
Narita is credited with the original story and Shizuki Mori with the original character designs. Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume are directing while Daisuke Ohigashi is in charge of the script. Yukei Yamada is adapting the character designs and Hiroyuki Sawano is composing the music.

Fate/Strange Fake is a light novel series that is part Type-Moon’s Fate franchise. It is written by Ryogo Narita and illustrated by Morii Shizuki. The series is being published by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. Unfortunately, there is no English release for the series while the Japanese release has 7 volumes as of date. Other notable works by Ryogo Narita are Baccano!, Durarara!! and Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You.
