Fruits Basket: The Final airs its last ever episode on June 28. The Fruits Basket official Japanese Twitter posted the preview images for Fruits Basket: The Final episode 13 on June 25. The preview images don’t give much away, but it looks like we’re in for a happy final episode.

During last week’s episode, Yuki and Machi finally confessed their feelings for one another and shared their first kiss. In addition to this, Yuki’s curse finally broke. It looks like we’ll get some moments between him and Machi in episode 13, presumably as they start their life together as a couple.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a Fruits Basket episode without some adorable Kyo and Tohru moments. In last week’s episode, Kyo told Tohru his plans to move away in the near future, and Tohru agreed to join him. With that in mind, perhaps the final episode will not only serve as a farewell to the series but also Kyo and Tohru’s farewell to their friends and family.
Judging by other episode 13 preview images shared to Oricon News, it looks like we’ll get to see scenes of all the other Somas as well. The most notable of these is Ritsu, who seems to have overcome his crossdressing habit and cut his hair. There are no more loose ends to tie up in the Fruits Basket story now. It seems like only a happy ending remains for the characters. Either way, given that it’s the anime’s final episode ever, tears will likely be shed.
Fruits Basket: The Final episode 13 will be available to watch on both Crunchyroll and Funimation on June 28, 2021. It’s titled “See You Again Soon.” Like Tohru, we’ll probably all be needing a hug afterwards!
