Gensho Yasuda's Make a Girl Teases Second Movie for 2027

Gensho Yasuda’s 3DCG movie Make a Girl premiered in Japanese theaters on January 31, and a second movie by the director has been announced for 2027. The official X account teases that it’s a direct sequel, mentioning a “silver-haired girl appearing on the screen…?” in the post-credit scene.

Yasuda Gensho Studio by Xenotoon animated the first movie, which is based on Yasuda’s Make a Girl 3D short from 2020.

Kenichiro Suehiro composed the music, with Yuuichi Imaizumi as the sound director and Rei Ueno in charge of the sound effects. The voice cast for the movie consists of:

  • Shun Horie as Akira Mizutame
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as No. 0
  • Kana Hanazawa as Eri Uminaka
  • Yoji Ueda as Shoichi Takamine

The movie recently released a special trailer to commemorate the premiere, and you can check that out below.

The Make a Girl anime movie will follow the story of Akira Mizutame as he decides to ‘elevate his life’ by creating a “girlfriend” at the suggestion of his friend. Akira scientifically creates an artificial girlfriend he calls No. 0, who later goes on to question her existence. It will be Gensho Yasuda’s first feature-length animated movie.
