The official website for the Haikyuu anime began a mysterious countdown which is set to end in a little over 5 days. It is not clear what the countdown is for but Haikyuu fans everywhere are hoping that it will announce the highly anticipated fifth season of the series. The new season, if announced, should cover the Nekoma vs. Karasuno arc. The Haikyuu franchise is set to host its Haikyuu Week later this month. The countdown is set to end on August 13 at 6pm JST:
Haikyuu (stylized as Haikyuu!!) anime is based on a manga by Haruichi Furudate which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2012 to 2020. The manga ended after 405 chapters, compiled into 45 volumes. Viz Media licensed it in English and describes the plot as:

Production I.G animated the anime adaptation of the Haikyuu!! manga. The first season aired in 2014, followed by the sequel which started in the Fall of 2015 and finished during the Winter 2016 season. Season 3, titled Haikyuu!! Karasuno High School vs Shiratorizawa Academy had 10 episodes that aired in Fall 2016. Haikyuu!! Riku vs Kuu OVA serves as its sequel. The latest installment of the anime Haikyuu!! To the Top aired in two cours – first in Winter 2020 and second in Fall 2020. In addition to the TV anime, the franchise also spawned multiple recap movies, OVAs, side stories, and an omake.
