The story follows Gabimaru, a shinobi who was known as the strongest in Iwagakure. He became a death row convict due to not wanting to continue the lifestyle, and then got sent to an island to find the Elixir of Life as a way to get acquitted and be reuntied with his wife. As he gets to the island and meets the other death row convicts, he quickly learns that the island is not normal and that surviving will be difficult, let alone finding the elixir.
