Horimiya released episode 13 today, and it ended up adapting the final chapter as expected since the preview. The episode started with the cast taking their stuff home due to graduating and showing how most of them still had a lot of things left. Most of the characters felt sad about it ending, and particularly Remi seemed affected. Still, they could still be friends, which they all plan to do anyway.
Besides him sneezing and ruining Sengoku’s speach, we saw Miyamura imagine what would have happened if there weren’t some coincidences in his life. It did feel a bit sad seeing the alternate version where no one knew each other. He talked to that version of himself, and finally accepted, which gave him some closure and it disappeared. Tooru and Sakura also got some form of closure. After that we got to the graduation ceremony, where Kyosuke was messing around and pissing off Hori.
In the end, we get to the beautiful scene after the graduation, where the main couple walked together and was just happy. Although it did skip chapters, the anime was certainly beautiful and the finale felt pretty good too (for a non-reader at the very least).
Horimiya ended with episode 13, and you can watch the entire show on Funimation. The official Twitter released a special illustration to commemorate it:
