The previously announced Hoshikuzu Telepath revealed on Tuesday that the anime is scheduled to premiere this coming October. Additionally, the series’ official Twitter account reached 15,000 followers, and a commemorative illustration of the main character Umika Konohoshi was posted.
Studio Gokumi (Yuki Yuna is a Hero) is animating the series with Kaori (The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬) is directing the anime and also working wth Natsuko Takahashi (Comic Girls) on the series composition. Takahiro Sakai (Ms. Vampire Who Lives In My Neighborhood) is in charge of the character designs and is also serving as chief animation director. The main cast includes Yurie Funato as Umika Konohoshi and Seria Fukagawa as Yuu Akeuchi.
Hoshikuzu Telepath is a four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Okuma. Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara has been serializing the title since May 2019 and there are currently 3 volumes in circulation. The manga was nominated for Best Printed Manga in the seventh “Next Manga Awards” in 2021.
The series is a coming-of-age story of a shy girl named Umika Konohoshi, who is having a hard time socializing with others and making friends. One day, a transfer student named Yu Akeuchi appears. She turns out to be an alien who can read others’ feelings by touching their foreheads.
Hoshikuzu Telepath anime previously announced a 2023 premiere date along with a visual.
