Yoshihiro Togashi writes and illustrates the Hunter x Hunter manga. It began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 1998. The manga has gone through frequent hiatuses due to the creator’s health issues. He is now posting occasional updates on X/Twitter, and it seems that he is currently working on chapter 417. VIZ Media licensed the series in English, and you can read the latest manga chapters for free on the MANGA Plus website.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime, describing the story:
Gon, a young boy who lives on Whale Island, dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still young.
