The official Twitter account for the previously announced anime adaptation of I’m Quitting Heroing has revealed a new key visual, and the anime is set to premiere in this April. EMT Squared is in charge of the production, with Hisashi Ishii as director. You can see the new key visual below:
Kaede Hondo is voicing the Demon Queen Echidna, while Kensho Ono is voicing the hero Leo Demonheart. The rest of the cast includes Hitomi Owada as Lili, Tetsu Inada as Edwald, Yumi Uchiyama as Melnes and Shizuka Itou as Steina. All 6 of the characters are present in the key visual. Quantum writes the original light novel, with Amano Hana as the illustrator. The series also has a manga adaptation by Kazato Nori on Young Ace Up. Kadokawa describes the plot of the manga:
A Retired Hero tries to rebuild the Demon King’s Army—a story for those of you who are struggling with work!
After saving the world, the strongest hero Leo became someone who is not wanted in the peaceful human world. He was too strong.
Exiled, he seeks a job at the Demon King’s Army, which he had defeated and needs to be rebuilt.
The Army had many problems: too much work, financial troubles, etc. Leo starts to make things better using his power.
Leo encounters Echidna again, and asks her why she invaded the human world. There starts an unexpected story—!
