The Kaiju No. 8 anime has revealed two types of character visuals – one for the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force and one for the titular Kaiju No. 8. Production I.G is in charge of the animation, and the anime will premiere in April 2024. Studio Khara will be in charge of creature designs. You can check out the new visuals below:

Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in July 2020 on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and has since been collected into 10 volumes. Viz Media licensed it in English in North America and so far seven volumes have been published, with the eight set for October 10, 2023 release date. They describe the story:
Kafka hopes to one day keep his pact with his childhood friend Mina to join the Japan Defense Force and fight by her side. But while she’s out neutralizing kaiju as Third Division captain, Kafka is stuck cleaning up the aftermath of her battles. When a sudden rule change makes Kafka eligible for the Defense Force, he decides to try out for the squad once more. There’s just one problem—he’s made the Defense Force’s neutralization list under the code name Kaiju No. 8.
