On the official site for the “Kanojo, Okarishimasu” franchise, a short video for the song “DATE” was released. It’s the character song for Ichinose Chizuru, and the performer is the character’s adorable voice actress, Amamiya Sora. The Chizuru song will be included in the first volume of the Blu-ray edition, along with a picture book and a CD with the project’s soundtrack.
Check out the song here:
The volume will release on October 28 in Japan and cost 9,500 yen (approximately $90). Unlike Mami-chan, whom a lot fans seem to dislike, Chizuru is the favorite of many. Here’s the beautiful cover of the volume featuring the ‘perfect’ girlfriend:
The anime premiered in Japan on July 10, and is an adaptation of Miyajima Reiji’s manga of the same name. It is currently enjoying big popularity, as it even ranked #1 on Anime Corner’s weekly poll this week (votes by ~7000 people). Furthermore, it beat big shows like Re:Zero and Sword Art Online to do it!
The synopsis of the story:
[In Japan, the lonely have a new way out — online services that rent out dads, children, even girlfriends! When Kazuya’s true love dumps him, he’s just desperate enough to try it, and he’s shocked at how cute and sweet his rental girlfriend turns out to be. But she wants to keep their “relationship” a secret, and there’s a complication… she goes to his university… and their grandmothers are in the same home… and they live next door to each other?! And Kazuya finds out she’s not nearly as nice in “real life”… ]
Not to mention that not all the girls even showed up yet. Sakurasawa Sumi will make her debut on September 18, and I already like her a lot. That’s based only on the trailer and the fact Takahashi Rie voices her! There will be only 2 more episodes, so hopefully she gets some spotlight.
