The previously announced Kaya-chan Isn’t Scary horror anime revealed a new visual along with four additional cast members and a January 2026. Joining the cast are:
- Yuki Kaji as Namu
- Fukushi Ochiai as Mobuo
- Azusa Tadokoro as Akira-sensei
- Shiori Izawa as Chihiro-sensei
The anime is based on a manga series by Taro Yuri. It began serialization on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch website in April 2022. The anime stars Azusa Tachibana as Kaya-chan and Maaya Uchida as Chie-sensei, while the main staff consists of:

- Series Composition: Shigeru Murakoshi
- Character Design: Taro Yamada, Hiroyuki Moriguchi
- Sound Director: Yukio Nagasaki
- Music: KOHTA YAMAMOTO, Shun Narita
