Kensho Ono is joining the cast of Shadows House Season 2 as Christopher, a shadow; and Anthony, his living doll. The announcement was made on the official Twitter account of Shadows House and Ono commented on the new role:
“I [already] read the original, [and] it was just fun! I’m looking forward to expressing the shadow through my voice.”Statement from Kensho Ono (via official website)
In addition to the new roles in Shadows House, Kensho Ono is known for voicing Giorno Giovanna in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko’s Basketball, Ren Hakuryuu in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Phichit Chulanont in Yuri on Ice, and Mono Shinobino in Komi Can’t Communicate and more. He voiced characters in several anime titles this year, including Yuri Briar in Spy x Family, Mahiru Seki in Call of the Night, So Hishigata in Summertime Rendering, and Kei Shinomiya in Tomodachi Game.
The second season of Shadows House premiered on July 9 of this year, with CloverWorks animating it. ClariS is in charge of the ending song “Masquerade”, while ReoNa will perform the opening theme “Shall We Dance?” The first season of the anime was also animated by CloverWorks, and aired from April 11 to July 4, 2021.
The series is based on Somato’s manga of the same name, which began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on September 6, 2018. Yen Press has licensed the manga in English and released the first volume on June 21:
Shadows House-a strange mansion that receives no callers, inhabited by a race of faceless shadows who play at being aristocrats and are waited on hand and foot by “living dolls,” who also serve as their masters’ faces. What goes on inside this enigmatic manor is anyone’s guess, but soot and shrieks billow up from within…
