The Kinnikuman -Perfect Origin Arc- anime reveals new characters and cast additions who are joining the ongoing series. The new characters are:
- Nemesis voiced by Takeshi Kusao
- Grim Reaper voiced by Junichi Suwabe
- Marvelous voiced by Yoshihisa Kawahara
- Jack Chi voiced by Shinobu Matsumoto
- Polarman voiced by Takashi Matsuyama
The new characters will officially appear in Episode 11: The New Infinite Large Numbers. The episode will stream on Netflix on Sunday, September 22.
Kinnikuman is a Japanese manga series authored by Yoshinori Nakai and Takashi Shimada, also known as Yudetamago. It was serialized by Shuiesha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 1979 to 1987 before restarting publication in 2011 in Shuiesha’s Shu Play news web magazine. It inspired three anime adaptations, including the current, Perfect Origin Arc.
The manga also has a sequel titled Kinnikuman: The 2nd Generation (also known as Ultimate Muscle outside of Japan). It was serialized in Weekly Playboy from 1998 to 2004 and inspired an anime adaptation. The series was broadcast in Japan in 2002 before being released in North America by 4Kids Entertainment.
Kinnikuman -Perfect Origin Arc- celebrates the 40th anniversary of the original 1983 anime series and the 45th anniversary of the franchise. The series is produced by Production I.G. and directed by Akira Sato. Toei Animation animated the original anime, which aired from 1983 to 1986.
