The Komada – A Whisky Family movie follows the story of a fledgling online news editor Kotaro, who embarks on a project focused on Japanese craft whisky, leading him to the Komada Distillery. There, he meets Rui Komada, a young female president who has recently assumed control of the family enterprise. The distillery is fervently striving to resurrect its cherished creation, the KOMA whisky, which had been discontinued years ago. KOMA holds a special place in the hearts of Rui’s grandfather and father, serving as a symbol of happiness for the entire family. However, the road to reviving this lost whisky is fraught with challenges. Financial support is scarce, and the essential clues needed for its recreation are elusive. Undaunted, Rui, Kotaro, and the dedicated supporters of the distillery join forces, pulling at every available thread in their quest to bring back this whisky.
