The upcoming Liar Liar anime will premiere in the summer season of this year. Information on additional cast members has been announced.
The additional cast includes Rika Tachibana (Girls’ Frontline, Princess Connect! Re:Dive, The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls) as Noa Akizuki, Yurika Moriyama (Komi-San Can’t Communicate, Puraore! Pride of Orange) as Tsumugi Shiina, Hibiki Yamamura (Assassination Classroom, Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, Seraph of the End) as Ami Kagaya, Hoko Kuwashima (One Piece, Inuyasha, Claymore, Bleach) as Natsume Ichinose, Mai Mochizuki (Assassin’s Pride, Shachibato! President, It’s Time for Battle!) as Yuuki Tsuji, and Momoko Seto, who will kick off her voice acting career voicing Fuuka Tatara.
The previously announced cast members include Yukina Shuto (Idoly Pride, Uma Musume) as Shirayuki Himeji, Wakana Kuramochi (Vermeil in Gold, Extreme Hearts, The Duke of Death and His Maid) as Sarasa Saionji, and Genta Nakamura (Banana Fish, Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, In/Spectre) as Hiroto Shinahura.
Satoru Ono and Naoki Matsuura are directing the Liar Liar anime adaptation. Yumi Nakamura is the character designer, while Momoka Toyoda is in charge of the series composition.
Studio GEEKTOYS is animating Haruki Kuo’s Liar Liar light novel with art by konomi being published under KADOKAWA’s light novel label MF Bunko J. The light novel released the first volume in April 2019 and the latest, 12th volume is scheduled to be released on November 25. The manga adaptation by Funa Yukina has been ongoing in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Comic Alive since August 2019.
