The cafe shop from the Lycoris Recoil original anime, Café LycoReco, posted a selfie of Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue with a special message, after making an announcement that starting on September 3 the shop will be closed, following the events of the 10th episode. The shop’s post came as Chisato’s message to update its 250 thousand followers with the situation:
It’s been a while~! This is Chisato✌️
We’re sorry for having surprised you with our announcement of closing the shop the other day😖
We went on a vacation✨ trip to a southern island🏝️

The newly-released picture shows the anime’s main characters Chisato Nishikigi (left) and Takina Inoue (right) standing close to each other, happily smiling with their hair and clothes wet with the sea water and showing a peace sign with their hands. The bullet dodger seems to have taken a photo of themselves by holding a phone in her right hand.
On September 29 night, the official Twitter account of the anime quote-tweeted the post as “Both of them have nice smiles☺️” and, Imigimuru, the original character designer, reacted likewise with a brief comment: “Welcome back✌️:”

Studio A-1 Pictures produced the original anime Lycoris Recoil from July to September 2022. The story was written by Asaura, known for his battles-over-bento-boxes light novel Ben-To, while the characters were designed by Imigimuru, the author of This Art Club Has a Problem manga. Shingo Adachi, who is known as the chief animation director in the Sword Art Online series, directed the series.
The anime’s official website is available in English as well as Japanese and describes the plot of the series as:
“LycoReco” is a café with a traditional Japanese twist located in downtown Tokyo. But the delicious coffee and sugary sweets are not the only orders this café takes! From delivering packages to short distances, to pick-ups and drop-offs on the lonely streets at night, to zombies and giant monster extermination…?! Whatever your problem, we’re here to help! We will solve any kind of “trouble” you may have! Waiting for you are the ever-smiling poster girl and the cool, serious newcomer. A petite girl who never wants to work and a young woman approaching thirty who wants to get married. And the manager is a nice guy who’s obsessed with Japan!
