Made in Abyss season 2 is happening in 2022. After season 1 in 2017 and Dawn of the Deep Soul movie sequel from 2020, more story is finally coming. The new arc will be called The Sun Blazes Upon the Golden City (Retsujitsu no Ougonkyo).

Kinema Citrus animated the first season, recap movies, and the sequel, however, the studio for the new season isn’t yet known. Kevin Penkin (Tower of God), who composed the OST for season 1, tweeted about Made in Abyss season 2. It may mean he’s coming back for season 2 but it wasn’t confirmed as of now.
Made in Abyss is also getting a video game from Spike Chunsoft, which is titled Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness. The new game seems to be following the story. Players will be able to descend into the abyss themselves. The game is coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS platforms in 2022.
What is Made in Abyss
Made in Abyss manga started publishing in 2012, and so far it has 58 chapters. The story follows Riko, while she looks for her mother who disappeared in the depths of the Abyss – a giant hole in the ground. One day she meets a boy named Reg, who thinks he came from the Abyss itself. In addition to that, Reg doesn’t appear to be fully human.
