Maho Tsukai ni Narenakatta Onna no Ko no Hanashi (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians) anime revealed a new visual and an October 4 release date, as well as a trailer featuring the theme songs. The opening song is “Collage” by PUFFY to tsuideni TOOBOE, while halca performs the ending “Shunkan Saidai Fuusoku.” You can hear both of the songs in the trailer below.
Studio J.C. Staff is animating the show, with Takashi Watanabe as chief director and Masato Matsune as director. Check out the new visual.
The Maho Tsukai ni Narenakatta anime previously revealed additional cast members, while the main cast consists of Hana Hishikawa as Kurumi Mirai and Misuzu Yamada as Yuzu Edel. Besides Takashi Watanabe and Masato Matsune, the anime staff also includes Hiroko Kanasugi in charge of the script, Mai Matsura as the character designer, and Yoko Shimomura as the music composer.
The anime is based on a web novel written by Yuzuki Akasaka, which was published by Everystar from March 2018 to September 2019. It was later submitted to Project Anima, an industry collaboration between DeNA, Sotsu, and Bunka Housou(JOQR) which accepted stories from the general public for potential anime adaptations, where it won in the “Another World/Fantasy” category.
