Medalist Season 2 Officially Announced With Visual & Trailer

Medalist Season 2 anime has been officially announced with a visual and trailer, following the first season’s finale. Studio ENGI was in charge of the animation for the first part, and the anime ran for 12 episodes from January 4, 2025.

Medalist Season 2 Anime Announcement Visual

The voice cast for the anime includes:

Yasutaka Yamamoto is directing the Medalist anime, with Chinatsu Kameyama as the character designer and Jukki Hanada in charge of the series composition and screenplay.

Medalist is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon since May 2020, and it has eleven compiled volumes as of August 2024. The manga series also won at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category. Kodansha licensed it in English, and they’ve been releasing it since May 2021. They describe the story:

Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
