Studio ENGI returns to animate the second season with Yasutaka Yamamoto as director, Jukki Hanada as series composition writer, Chinatsu Kameyama as character designer, and Yuki Hayashi as music composer. A teaser visual was revealed last July.

The anime is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Tsurumaikada. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon since May 2020. The manga series also won at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Award for the general category.

Kodansha is licensing it in English, and they describe the story as follows:
Tsukasa, whose dreams were crushed. Inori, left to fend for herself. These two share a dream…and their tenacity may be the only thing that sees them through. Their destination? The ice…on the world’s stage!
