Meet Percival in Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse Episode 1 Preview

The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse is set to premiere on October 8, and the episode 1 preview images show young Percival hanging out with his grandfather. The images were shared on the franchise’s official Twitter during July. Telecom Animation Film is animating the adaptation, with Maki Kodaira as the director. Check out the preview images:

Sho Komura voices Percival, and Yuki Kaji is voicing Meliodas. The rest of the cast includes Koki Uchiyama as Sin, Kikunosuke Toya as Donny, Aino Shimada as Nasient, and Kanna Nakamura as Anne (Anghalhad). Character designs for the characters were also revealed:

Besides the director Maki Kodaira, the staff includes Yoichi Takada as the character designer and Shigeru Murakoshi on the series composition and script. Hiroyuki Sawano will collaborate with KOHTA YAMAMOTO for the main theme, with the later also being credited for music. You can watch the latest trailer for the anime:

Four Knights of the Apocalypse is the sequel to Nakaba Suzuki’s The Seven Deadly Sins series. The manga began serialization in 2021, right after the original series ended. Kodansha licensed the manga in English, and they describe the story:
In the world of The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And though Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure comes knocking at his door, tearing away everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it holds…after all, it’s his destiny!

The original The Seven Deadly Sins manga also has an anime adaptation with 4 TV anime seasons and 2 movies. The first 2 seasons and the Prisoners of the Sky movie were animated by A-1 Pictures. Studio DEEN took over for seasons 3 and 4, and they also animated the Cursed by Light movie. There is an original two-part CGI movie on Netflix titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh. Tthe second part came out on August 8. The story is set between the original anime and the upcoming sequel and features some relevant characters such as Tristan and Lancelot.
