More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers anime revealed a new trailer that features the opening theme song “TRUE FOOL LOVE” by Liyuu. The anime will begin airing this October. Studio Mother is animating the adaptation of Yuki Kanamaru’s manga.
The main cast includes:
- Saori Onishi as Akari Watanabe
- Seichiro Yamashita as Jiro Yakuin
- Saki Miyashita as Shiori Sakurazaka
- Toshiki Masuda as Minami Tenjin
Junichi Yamamoto is directing the series, while Takao Koto is credited as the chief director. Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of the series composition and Chizuru Kobayashi is the character designer. “Stuck on You” by Nowlu is the ending theme.

More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers is based on the manga by Yuki Kanamaru. Although manga hasn’t been licensed in English, Kadokawa provided a translated synopsis in the description of the trailer:
Jiro Yakuin, a dull high school boy, ends up living with a cute gal named Akari Watanabe in the “Fu-fu Jishyu”. The two, who are in love with someone else, decide to play husband and wife for real in order to exchange partners. However, during their married life, they learn of each other’s attraction to each other and become aware of each other’s attraction to each other….
