Season 2 of Muv-Luv Alternative anime revealed a new trailer that features the theme songs: “Akatsuki o Ute” by the iconic JAM Project and Minami Kuribayashi, and “Saikai” by V.W.P. The anime is set to premiere on October 6.
Minami Kuribayashi previously performed tracks for the Muv-Luv visual novel series, including the Alternative and Altered Fable opening theme songs. She has also voiced Kasumi Yashiro and Haruka Suzumiya in the games. JAM Project is well-known for its anime themes, some of which include the One Punch Man opening theme songs.
The first season of the meccha anime aired last fall. Just like that one, the sequel is animated by studios Flagship Line, Graphinica, and Yumeta Company. Staff is returning and includes Yukio Nishimoto as the director, Takuya Tani on character designs, and Kazuya Ooya as CG director. Tatsuhiko Urahata is doing the series composition. In addition, Evan Call is composing the music.
Koichi Kamiki is voicing the main character, Takeru Shirogane, while Tomori Kusunoki is voicing Sumika Kagami, with Karin Nanami as Meiya Mitsurugi. In addition, Miku Ito is voicing Chizuru Sakaki, Takako Tanaka is Miki Tamase, Iori Saeki is Kei Ayamine, and Lynn is Mikoto Yoroi.
Muv-Luv Alternative is based on a visual novel developed by âge and Anchor Inc. The franchise also has manga and light novel adaptations, as well as Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse anime from 2012.
