NieR:Automata Ver1.1a unveiled the non-credit ending video following the broadcast of the anime’s second episode on Saturday. The anime previously unveiled the non-credit opening video with Aimer’s “escalate” after the first episode’s broadcast. Studio A-1 Pictures is animating the adaptation based on SQUARE ENIX’s game under Ryoji Masuyama’s direction. Amazarashi is performing the ending theme song “Antinomy.” The song’s digital release began on the day and the CD single release is set for February 22.
Square Enix published the NieR:Automata game on February 23, 2017, in Japan, originally on Sony’s PlayStation 4, and later adapted into other consoles. Taro Yoko wrote the script and directed the production, and he is part of the anime production as one of the two people who are in charge of the series composition.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
The distant future, 5012. The sudden aerial invasion of Earth by <Aliens> and their creations <Machine Lifeforms> led mankind to the brink of extinction. The surviving number of humans who took refuge on the moon to organize a counterattack using <android> soldiers to recapture Earth.
