ONE PIECE anime will premiere the “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER” episode next Sunday in its usual slot, and the preview trailer has been released. The special episode will be directed by Megumi Ishitani and adapt the One Piece novel Straw Hat Stories by Tomohito Ohsaki. Its release date is October 20.
Tomohito Ohsaki wrote the novel in 2017, and it focuses on normal people who are “not pursuing the One Piece.” It features 9 short stories about each of the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as the crew’s reunion the perspective of those ‘normal’ people.
The story for the anime episode will take place on the Sabaody Archipelago, two years after the Paramount War where Luffy lost his brother Ace. The protagonist is a young girl who admires Nami and has a small adventure of her own. The preview shows that she wants to meet the Straw Hat Pirates, keeping all their wanted posters.
Besides the director Megumi Ishitani, “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER” will have Keisuke Mori as the character designer/animation director and Momoka Toyoda handling the script.
ONE PIECE Episode 1123 & Chapter 1129 Release Date
Episode 1123 of the anime should then premiere the week after this on October 27, while the ONE PIECE manga will release chapter 1129 later today. You can watch the anime on Crunchyroll and Netflix, while you can catch up to the latest manga chapter for free on either the VIZ website or the MANGA Plus website.
