ONE PIECE FILM RED mobilized over 5 million people and earned over 7 billion yen (~$52.2 million USD) in the first 10 days since its August 6 premiere, becoming the highest earning and highest selling ONE PIECE movie in history. The record was previously held by the ONE PIECE FILM Z, which premiered in December 2012 and earned a total of 6.87 billion yen (~$51.2 million USD). The movie previously had the 2nd best opening weekend of all time in Japan, as well as the best opening day in history in France. The story focuses on Uta, with the Red Hair Pirates also having a big part. Kaori Nazuka voices Uta, with Ado providing the singing voice. Fiveof the songs were already released alongside animated music videos, and they are the main theme song “New Genesis”, a collaboration with Mrs. Green Apple “I’m invincible.”, a collaboration with Vaundy “Backlight”, a collaboration with FAKE TYPE. “Fleeting Lullaby” and a collaboration with Yuta Orisaka “The World Turns”.
