THE ONE PIECE anime remake production video:

In a recent interview with Real Sound, president of WIT Studio and Production I.G said that they are aware 1000+ episodes are a lot, as well as that younger audiences accustomed to modern anime might find the 25-year-old episodes difficult to watch due to the 4:3 analog format. They envision the remake working together with the manga, original anime, and live-action versions of ONE PIECE to expand its reach. Toei Animation has encouraged them to give it their all while they continue with the latest episodes.

Netflix describes the project:
Recreating the story of the original “ONE PIECE” manga, starting from the East Blue arc, “THE ONE PIECE” is coming to Netflix!

The ONE PIECE manga by Eiichiro Oda first began in July 1997, and the series exceeded 500 million circulating copies in August 2022. The manga currently has 1122chapters, while the anime by Toei Animation is at 1115 episodes. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime.

ONE PIECE has also confirmed that the live-action began production for its second season.
