Oshi no Ko Season 2 Gets Recap Episode Next Week, Episode 10 Premieres on September 11

OSHI NO KO Season 2 is getting a recap episode next week, which means that Episode 10 will premiere on September 11. The recap episode will look back on the season so far with narration by Takeo Otsuka (Aqua’s Japanese voice actor) of episodes 12 to 20. It will also features interviews with Megumi Han (Kana) and Manaka Iwami (Akane).

The show had previously been voted the most anticipated Summer 2024 anime, and it has topped the weekly rankings 3 times this season.

When pregnant young starlet Ai Hoshino appears at Dr. Gorou Amemiya’s clinic, he takes it upon himself to safely (and secretly) deliver her child so Ai can make a scandal-free return to the stage. But on the eve of her delivery, Gorou is slain at the hands of Ai’s deluded stalker — and is subsequently reborn as Ai’s child, Aquamarine Hoshino! The glitz and glamor of showbiz hide the dark underbelly of the entertainment industry. Can he help his new mother rise to the top of the charts?

The OSHI NO KO manga is written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It launched in April 2020 and is published by Shueisha in its seinen manga magazine Weekly Young Jump. The English language edition is published by Yen Press.

OSHI NO KO swept our seasonal ranking in Spring 2023, with the anime taking home the main Anime of the Season award. Aqua and his voice actor Takeo Otsuka won the titles of Best Male Character and Best Male Seiyuu while Kana Arima ranked first in the Best Female Character ranking (Akane and Ruby in 2nd and 3rd). Rie Takahashi, who voiced Ai Hoshino, took the title of the Best Female Seiyuu. The opening and ending theme songs of the anime also placed first in their respective categories.

It was also announced that the Tokyo Blade play is getting a real life stage play adaptation.
