SANDA is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Paru Itagaki. It has been serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since July 2021, with 14 volumes released as of June 2024.

Described as a “Santa Claus action story,” the story is set in a future Japan, where the birth rate is declining and children have a higher social status than adults. Santa Claus has been sealed because of a curse, with Christmas left as a legend. The main character, Sanda Kazushige, realizes he has a connection to the mythical Santa.

Paru Itagaki’s BEASTARS manga started serialization in 2016 in Weekly Shounen Champion and ended in 2020 after 196 chapters. The final season of its anime adaptation is set to release Part 1 this December, with Part 2 coming at a later date.
